Hi, I'm Lisa — I'm really glad you're here.
If you're reading this, there's a good chance you're someone who looks like you have it together on the outside, but underneath, you're running on empty. Maybe it's anxiety that won't quiet down, a relationship that feels harder than it should, or just a heavy sense of being behind, disconnected, or stuck in patterns you can't seem to shake. If that sounds familiar, I'd love to work with you.
I believe therapy works best when you feel like you can be yourself without judgment, without pressure, and without the expectation that you need to have everything figured out before we start. My goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely seen and supported, while also helping you understand yourself more clearly and make changes that actually stick.
Who I work with
I especially enjoy working with adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, stress, perfectionism, low self-esteem, and self-sabotage. A lot of my clients are professionals, caregivers, and high-achievers — people who seem fine from the outside but feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or unfulfilled underneath it all. I'm also passionate about working with trauma, attachment wounds, caregiver stress, serious mental illness, personality disorders, and unhealthy relational or generational patterns.
What it's like working with me
Others would describe me as warm, compassionate, conversational, and honest. I always make room for validation and support, but I also believe therapy is a place where we can gently challenge the patterns keeping you stuck. You can expect thoughtful reflection, practical tools, honest feedback, and probably some humor along the way. I want our sessions to feel collaborative and useful — not like you're just talking for an hour and leaving without knowing what to do next.
My approach
Every person is unique, so I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. I draw primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and strengths-based approaches, incorporating DBT, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness, trauma-informed care, and psychoeducation based on what's most helpful for you. Together, we might work on understanding your patterns, building healthier boundaries, strengthening relationships, improving communication, and developing skills you can carry with you outside of the therapy room.
My background
I have more than 15 years of experience in the mental health field across clinical and leadership settings. If there's one thing that experience has taught me, it's that meaningful change doesn't require having all the answers before you begin. You can come to therapy exactly as you are — we'll start there and work together toward helping you feel more grounded, confident, connected, and empowered in your life and relationships.
