Whether you’re newly exploring your mental health or you’ve seen a therapist before, we’re here for your well-being. 

Are sessions online or in-person? 
Our sessions are convenient telehealth appointments. Most therapy sessions are $150, but a sliding scale may apply if you may be eligible.

In addition to many insurance providers, we also accept these forms of payment: ACH Bank transfer, American Express, Discover, Health Savings Account, Mastercard, Visa, and Wire.
What can I expect during a session? 
Virtual counseling is exactly like in-person counseling, but we meet via phone calls or video in place of a face-to-face visit.

With telehealth mental health counseling, you can expect a session similar to an in-person one but conducted online, focusing on your mental health goals through in-depth discussion and strategies. Before we start your session, ensure a private space that allows us to communicate openly about any issues. After your session, plan time for reflection and decompressing, as you may feel emotional. It’s all part of the healing process.
How long will I be in therapy? 
The specific length of time in therapy depends on the individual's goals, the type of counseling, and ultimately, the complexity of the issues being addressed.

Mental health counseling duration varies significantly, ranging from a few sessions to several years. Recent research indicates that on average, 15 to 20 sessions are required for 50% of our patients to recover and move past their symptoms.  

That said, many self-report that they see improvement with shorter-term therapy. More complex or chronic conditions such as anxiety or depression may require 6 months to over a year of treatment to achieve significant, lasting improvement to your mental health.
What is the duration of each session?
Your initial appointment is a 15-minute discovery call. Once you feel Blue Skies Brain Health is a good fit, your follow-up sessions are 1-hour long, telehealth appointments. 
Do you accept my insurance?
Many folks have their sessions covered by insurance. Upon providing me with your insurance details, I can tell you if there will be any cost for your sessions. If we do not accept your insurance, we are willing to work with you to make therapy affordable for your budget!
It is frustrating to hear about people not connecting with therapists at other practices. I created Blue Skies Brain Health so that you wouldn’t have to wonder if you were going to connect - a place where the therapists are experts at making everyone feel encouraged to become the best, and happiest, version of themself. Here, we focus on thinking patterns/rewiring our brain, which can build resilience and happiness in life.
