Do we need to go to therapy?
We say therapy is for everyone -especially couples. If you feel that you are struggling to communicate with your partner about your thoughts and feelings, it may be time to consider therapy.

Are your therapy sessions suitable for LGBTQ+ couples?

How long should we expect to be in couples counseling?
The duration of therapy varies based on individual and couple needs. Some may find relief in a few sessions, while others may benefit from a longer engagement. Your therapist will work with you to determine the best course for the future of your relationship. 
Are online therapy sessions available?
Yes - in fact, those are the only appointments we have! By focusing on online therapy options, we’re available to meet your needs anywhere, practically anytime. We’ve served thousands and they appreciate the flexibility and comfort online sessions provide.
What should I expect during our first session?
When approaching your first session - know that, with us, it’s low pressure (we understand that starting therapy can be intimidating to start). During your first session, we will create a comfortable space for you to share your story. In this relaxed conversation, we will discuss your relationship background, current challenges, and goals for couples therapy. It’s a safe space for you both to explore feelings without judgment.

No preparation needed, just show-up as you are. We believe (and research backs us up)  that building a close bond with your therapist- is the key element to making progress in therapy and getting back to feeling like yourself again. 

Your therapists will ask some questions to get to know you and you’ll have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have as well. They’ll ask about what’s not feeling quite right in your life and understand your goals for the course of our holistic therapy. From your first session and every step along the way, we work at your pace and we encourage you to let us know if anything comes up that either of you aren’t ready to talk about yet  - here,  you’re in control and lead your own change.
Do you accept my insurance?
Very likely as we accept most major insurance providers. Many insurance plans cover mental health services, but we recommend checking with your provider to understand specific coverage details.

If your mental health treatment isn’t covered by your insurance, we’ll work with you to get the care you need. Our therapists offer a sliding scale approach if needed to make therapy work for you and your budget.
