How long should I expect to be in therapy?
Therapy length varies depending on each teen's needs, but many clients see significant progress within a few months of consistent sessions. Here at Blue Skies Brain Health, we believe in tailoring the process to each person's unique journey.
How can parents get involved in the therapy process?
Around our private sessions, parents are encouraged to participate in at-home activities to help support the mental health tools and tips we share. We want all families to learn ways to support their teens effectively, and perhaps even address some of their own experiences and challenges.
Are online therapy sessions available?  
Yes - in fact, those are the only appointments we have! By focusing on online therapy options, we’re available to meet your needs anywhere, practically anytime. We’ve served thousands and they appreciate the flexibility and comfort online sessions provide.
Are there new client or first session paperwork that needs to be filled out ahead of their appointment?
When approaching your first session - know that, with us, it’s low pressure (we understand that starting therapy can be intimidating to start). During your first session, we will create a comfortable space for you to share your story. In this relaxed conversation, we will discuss your teen’s background, current challenges, and goals for therapy. It’s a safe space to explore feelings without judgment.

No preparation needed, just show-up as you are. We believe (and research backs us up)  that building a close bond with your therapist- is the key element to making progress in therapy and getting back to feeling like yourself again. 

Your therapists will ask some questions to get to know you and you’ll have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have as well. They’ll ask about what’s not feeling quite right in your life and understand your goals for the course of our holistic therapy. From your first session and every step along the way, we work at your pace and we encourage you to let us know if anything comes up that you’re not ready to talk about yet  - here,  you’re in control and lead your own change.
Do you accept my insurance?
Very likely as we accept most major insurance providers. Many insurance plans cover mental health services, but we recommend checking with your provider to understand specific coverage details.

If your mental health treatment isn’t covered by your insurance, we’ll work with you to get the care you need. Our therapists offer a sliding scale approach if needed to make therapy work for you and your budget. 
How can I get started?
