Madeline Cook, RMHCI

Therapist Intern / Clinical Outreach

Hi, I’m Maddie—and I’m so glad you’ve landed here.

Therapy doesn’t have to feel intimidating or clinical. My goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely cared for, deeply listened to, and supported—where it’s safe to be your full self and explore what really matters to you. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck in your head, navigating a big change, or trying to rebuild trust in yourself, you don’t have to figure it out alone.

I’m a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and five years of experience walking alongside people through some of life’s most meaningful and difficult transitions. My approach is collaborative and compassionate. I work to help you reconnect with your strengths and move toward a life that aligns with your values. I draw from Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness-based tools to support self-compassion, deepen understanding, and create real, lasting change.

I specialize in working with individuals navigating identity exploration, life transitions, relationship dynamics, self-esteem challenges, and substance use recovery. I’m especially passionate about supporting those in the LGBTQ+ community, individuals in recovery, and anyone who feels like they’re trying to hold it all together on the outside but are struggling quietly underneath. My work is grounded in inclusivity, accessibility, and the belief that no one should have to face life’s challenges without support.

At Blue Skies Brain Health, we recognize that your emotional experiences are connected to your brain as an organ—not just a mind full of thoughts. That’s why I take a holistic approach to therapy, helping you understand what’s happening internally on both a mental and neurological level so you can feel more regulated, present, and in control.

In addition to my therapy work, I serve in a Clinical Outreach role with Blue Skies, where I advocate for mental health access and education in the community. I love connecting with others, building relationships, and helping people understand what kind of support is out there. Whether in session or out in the world, my passion is helping people feel seen and understood.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time with my English bulldog Hampton, hitting the gym, reading a good mystery, or unwinding with some reality TV. I believe in the importance of balance—between doing the work and giving yourself space to just be.

Wherever you are in your journey, I’m here when you’re ready. Let’s work together to build a life that feels more aligned, empowered, and authentically yours.
